Our fellowship

Recovery has room
for all of us.

A spiritual, inclusive recovery community grounded in the Twelve Steps.

Why we’re here

Connection without
the judgment.

Medication-Assisted 12 Steps grew from a simple belief: people who use medication in their recovery deserve a welcoming place in the 12-step community.

Our roots are in North Carolina. A treatment provider with personal experience in AA and NA recognized the stigma some people faced while receiving medication-assisted treatment. The fellowship grew as a place to work the Steps, explore a Higher Power, and support one another.

Today, we welcome people using medication, people who have never used it, and people returning to recovery. You do not have to follow someone else’s path to belong.

Independent. Member-supported. Together.

Our fellowship is autonomous and separate from treatment programs. There are no dues or fees for membership. Our common purpose is recovery and helping others find it.

Spiritual, not religious

Each person is free to understand a Higher Power in their own way. We practice honesty, acceptance, humility, willingness, and service in everyday life.
